  • New dog starter kits: every adopter leaves with a bed, healthy food, transition food, a slow feeder bowl, and puppy pads

  • Community adoption events: bringing shelter dogs into the world so they can meet their people outside of a kennel

  • Enrichment programs: weekly pack hikes and run clubs that keep shelter dogs healthy, social, and adoptable

How Wiggly Butts Foundation Helps Dogs

Saving dogs doesn’t have to be complicated, and it definitely shouldn’t be impossible. Here’s how we help wiggly butts get a second chance:

1. We Partner with Local Shelters & Rescues

We work alongside shelters and rescue organizations to identify dogs most in need, including long-stay dogs, seniors, and those at risk of euthanasia.

2. We Remove Financial Barriers

Many amazing dogs don’t get adopted simply because of cost. We help by sponsoring adoption fees and providing starter kits so every family starts out on the right paw..

3. We Get Them Out of the Kennel

Four walls and a concrete floor don't tell you who a dog really is. That's why we partner with Run Club ABQ and Hike Doggie Sandia to get shelter dogs out of their kennels and into the world — running trails, exploring open spaces, and being reminded that life outside those walls is still waiting for them.
