Wiggly Butts Foundation is a nonprofit dog rescue based in Albuquerque, New Mexico, dedicated to helping dogs at risk of euthanasia, homelessness, and neglect get a second chance at life.

Every dog deserves to be seen — not through the bars of a kennel, but out in the world, tail wagging, personality shining, doing what dogs do best: loving people.

Wiggly Butts Foundation was born from a simple but urgent truth: the dogs sitting in our city's open-admission shelter aren't just waiting for a home; they're waiting to be known. And when the world doesn't come to them, we bring them to the world.

We partner directly with Albuquerque's Animal Welfare Department to pull dogs out of their kennels and into the community through thoughtfully planned events, pop-ups, and experiences. Because when a dog spends hours running alongside strangers at Run Club ABQ, or curls up next to someone at a brewery, or makes a room full of people laugh just by existing — that's the moment everything changes. For them, and for us.

But it goes deeper than adoptions. Hours spent in a kennel without stimulation, socialization, or connection take a toll. Dogs lose their spark. And when that spark fades, their chances fade with it. Every event we host gives these dogs something priceless: a few hours of enrichment, exercise, and joy — a reminder that life outside those walls is still waiting for them.

We are building a community that refuses to look away. One wag, one event, one forever home at a time.
